Based on Psalm 44
When I look back, I can see God’s hand everywhere. I see Him halting corrupt nations’ plans. I see Him setting wrongly accused prisoners free. I see wisdom that helped many people continue onward. I also see His loving hands comforting people and bringing them hope. God is the one who brings victories.
Sometimes when I look in the present though, it is harder to see the hand of God as clearly. I see hunger and oppression as well as thievery and murder. It can make me wonder why God doesn’t fix everything instantly. The God of the past doesn’t always look the same in the present moment.
Then I think a little bit deeper and I see that those Godly victories of the past didn’t always come instantly either. There has always been a waiting time in between the longing and the victory. And, that waiting time draws more and more people toward a loving God.
