When I began reading Love and Care for the One and Only You by Michelle Medlock Adams, I knew that it would be an excellent tool to help me to get in shape–both physically & spiritually. Physically, it has helped me because reading it is like having Michelle standing along side of me as a fitness coach spurring me on. That alone is enough reason to read the book.
Then, she ties in biblical wisdom and principles into each chapter as well. These enabled me to learn spiritual lessons too. Therefore, I also remember that God is also at my side spurring me on.
While reading Love and Care for the One and Only You, I have grown closer to my God, lost a few pounds, gained some muscle, lost a few bad habits, and gained a few good habits. I think I’m on my way.
However, I’m not there yet. Losing weight, like anything worthwhile, takes time. But as Michelle says, as long as I keep doing more and more of the do’s (good habits) consistently, I will continue forward on my weight loss journey.
