Hope When The World is Sinking

 

 

If I look to a worldly leader for hope, I will be let down.

Any world leader has no lasting merit.

Hope and salvation only has one source.

And He, the Lord of Hope, is always by my side.

I will cling to Him; I will wait quietly before Him.

Jesus Christ alone is my rock and my salvation.

He alone is my fortress.

When I look to Him, my feet won’t sink in shifting sand.

And I can see much hope on the horizon.

Even when the earth gives way,

My foundation will be solid and strong,

When I look to the One who gave everything for me.

Amen.

 

I wait quietly before God,
    for my victory comes from him.
