My word to make 2015 my best year yet is GO. GO means to move or proceed toward something. It also means to be in motion or to act in order to come into a certain state or condition. In other words, GO is a very proactive verb. I want my 2015 to be active and proactive.
I have a tendency to let my life happen to me instead of being proactive. I want to change that in 2015. A novel or movie wouldn’t be very interesting if the hero just went along with everyone else and got pulled along by life. The hero needs to take control of their situation in order to bring about a desired solution. I desire to be the proactive heroine of my own life. I feel that God desires this for me as well.
Even though God is sovereignly in control over my life, He wants me to take responsibility and act like the person that He created me to be. He doesn’t want me to just go along with the crowd. He designed me to stand out and shine.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. ~ Romans 12:2
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. ~ Matthew 5:16
