All people, even the people in the Bible, have flaws and weaknesses. The key is to find the beauty in that fact instead of getting depressed because of it. God worked in them and He will work in us, even through those flaws and weaknesses. He loves us anyway. God will not give up on us and He will continue to work within us. That is the point of the Bible: God’s immense love even though His people fail Him and God’s hope for His people to continue onward in repentance even after they do fail. He wants us to continue onward because He loved us first not to earn his love. Staying connected to God through His Word and prayer and remembering His love is vital in order to become all that He wants us to be and to be used by Him in wonderful ways.
To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. ~ Isaiah 61:3 NLT
