Life flourishes wherever living water flows. In John 7, it is reported that Jesus said, “Anyone who is thirsty may come to me. Anyone who believes in me may come and drink. And…rivers of living water will flow from your heart.” What is this life-giving Spirit? The living water that he spoke of is the very Spirit of God. How can you get this life-giving Spirit? Simply by believing in Jesus, God’s own Son, who died on a cross as payment for your sin. Believe and receive this Spirit today. Out of it flows everything that is needed to live abundantly. But this Spirit isn’t insurance to guard against going through the many trials of life. No, you will still have trials. But…you will find the strength to go through those trials with perseverance, patience, and even joy. With the Spirit, joy can be had at any given moment, no matter what you’re going through. Indeed, the marrow of true life is the Spirit of God.
